Product type:LCD TV

Screen size:46 in

3D Technology:3D Compatible

Pros:

Well the overall things that users appreciated about the Samsung UN46C8000
3D LED TV

  • Attractive looking TV
  • Very energy efficient
  • Audio is good (rear speakers)
  • Impressive remote control
  • Picture quality excellent
  • Suites, bedroom, living room (smaller)
  • Great for 3D movies and sports
  • Suitable for wall mounting
  • Very slim design
  • 3D is crisp and clear, very impressive
  • Blackest blacks outside of OLED
  • Free shipping
  • 3D Blue-ray bundle, great value

Cons:

Following are a few things that some users found to be wanting

  • Some of the reds cause issue with the 3D effect
  • Remote trouble with this model (one user)
  • Power supply issue after 12 months (one user, warranty covers this)
  • 3D glasses not supplied (one users experience)

Summary:

This TV is highly recommended if your budget cannot stretch for the larger
screen models. With the 3D effect limiting the way you are immersed, this size
46″ is definitely not optimal but would suit someone with a smaller room or
closer confined space to get the best of the 3D “jump out of the screen” at
you type of entertainment.

One thing to consider if you are to wall mount this TV, and that is to keep
it at a comfortable height when you consider the eye level you will be viewing
it from on your lounge or bed. Don’t be fooled into thinking that it will look
better to have it mounted up high on the wall, like they do in the flashy brochures,
as this will deminish your viewing enjoyment. This is a cheaper solution than
purchasing a TV stand cabinet.

Definitely the bigger you go, the more immersive the 3D effect becomes. As
the larger LED Samsung units are of superior quality, they do come with a higher
price tag. But if you love your entertainment and like to keep some cash for
other things this true HDTV will certainly do the job.

Samsung LN46C630 46″ LCD (FullHDTV) 1080p

Summarized Reviews: Based on 14 reviews

•    Good picture quality, HD high definition cable amazing
•    Great price set compared to the larger, new 7000 series
•    Surround sound added extend the user experience
•    Size suitable for smaller room, bedroom, or closer viewing
•    1080p out does the old 1080i by long shot
•    Connects to computer, but does not play Apple Mp4’s
•    Suit budget HDTV buyer
•    Not 3D
•    No glasses only 2D

Pros:

When I first saw this amazing new 3D technology, I must admit to being a bit skeptical when it comes to the knock you in the face effects of being at the cinema in 3D. Surely the lack of FOV field of vision, of the big screen diminishes the 3D illusion? Nope not a bit, it truly is as good as the cinema. Of course maybe outdone by IMAX theatre by sheer size but this 55″ inch set is truly amazing. Best to get the biggest set you can afford as the smaller screens do look a bit like a 3D window you are peering through. So this big screen is worth every cent.

The picture quality is incredible especially with the 3D turned on. This HDTV has 55″ inches of display and the LED intensely clear display makes this one of the best available today. It excels in both 2D and 3D modes as the rich depth of color is not surpassed by any other HDTV on the market. Samsung are true leaders in this technology, taking over from the field leaders Sony and LG to a lesser extent.

Better black contrast due to superior edge-lit technolgoy by Samsung. Excellent gray levels achieved via linear grays. Many controls for the picture quality and settings. Absolute thinnest in the category measuring only one inch thick. The best for streaming content via the widget and applications. The 2D to 3D conversion system is an amazing feat which produces better than expected results.

Match this set with Blu-ray and you have a totally awesome winning combination, set to knock your eyes out (it would seem) with the 3D glasses. Speaking of which, Samsung’s glasses are the best when it comes to comfort, battery life and keeping the light out of the side of the lens, which with some other brands such as Panasonic, create unnecessary glare reflections off the inside of the glass.

Cons:

This set comes at a price that matches the totally immersive experience so you need to have loaded credit card ready to purchase this excellent HDTV. This set may not be as big as some of the plasma sets but what it lacks in size (plasma can go up to 63″ inches) it more than makes up with picture clarity and superior quality to plasma technology.

Samsung – UN55C7000 – 55″ LCD TV – 1080p (FullHD)

4/5

yes
yes
yes

Summarized Reviews: Based on 137 reviews

•    One of the thinnest TV’s in the world today, just 1.5″ thin
•    One solid moulded case, beautiful and seamless design
•    Elegant crystal stand
•    Brilliant highest contrast LED technology
•    Widgets for connecting computer to TV
•    USB 2.0 connect
•    Wireless connect
•    HDMI connect
•    Eco label awarded LED TV 7 series low energy use
•    Electricity bills and movies look great here

Pros:

With only two TV’s on the market for 3D HD when released, the Samsung and the Panasonic (a plasma) there was really no comparison between the two. In the store I compared these side by side and the brilliance of the Samsung stood out head and shoulders above it’s competition. Plasma just does not come anywhere near the brilliance of LED technology. Sorry if you just bought a plasma, you might be putting it on eBay after seeing one of these TV’s in action. And by action I mean smooth flowing, jitter and flicker free, like nothing you have ever seen outside of the cineplex.

This television when first released in 2009, was total state of the art
technology at it’s very best. Samsung continue to sell this model even though
there is a new range the 8 series or 8000 HDTV’s. Naturally this is cheaper
model as it is superseded by the next great thing. It is still a fantastic
3D and 2D full high definition television. You will save about $1200 off
the cost of the model that replaces it, the Samsung UN55C8000, a truely exceptional
unit and one you would have to go a long way to beat.

3D imaging is a novel way to turn 2D source material into a hybrid 3D appearance.
Users have found varying degress of success as one person pointed out that
when watching the ice hockey, the players looked remarkable 3D like but they
appeared to be floating on the ice, which as a background appeared very flat.

The 3D glasses are cheaper than other brands such as Panasonic, which cost
another 50% more expensive and they let light in which in a moderately lite
ambient environment proves positively distracting to your TV enjoyment. So
the Samsung 3D glasses in my opinion are far superior, and more comfortable
to wear. Being cheaper you can save some money when you are springing it
for the whole family to watch as the come with just 2 standard pairs.

Cons:

Some users found issues with the HDMI connection not being fully compatible
with the latest standards. Others found some clouding issues that seem to
be resolved. The edge lit technology has been improved by a dramatic extent
on the latest models that employ the precision dimming edge lit led set.
